Recto: Informal mercantile letter in Arabic script. Dating: Probably 11th or early 12th century. The sender reports that he sent the garment with Mūsā. Mentions Abū Durra Maḥfūẓ. The addressee should send back with the bearer the money owed to ʿAyyāsh, and the denomination should be rubāʿīs (quarter-dinars) or Shāmiyya (Levantine). Verso: Arabic notes/letters in a different handwriting. Needs examination.
