Letter addressed to a dignitary named Aharon. It opens with a panegyric in Hebrew in which the addressee is called "the Rav" and "the Nagid of his generation and nation." It continues on verso in Judaeo-Arabic. The substance is unclear and the prose is elevated. "... may God help... which... all of our colleagues (aṣḥābnā) the great [and small]... good fortune, O my lord and master... the [no]blest of my treasures and the benefit of eternity... drape the curtain over (tusbil al-sitr ʿalā)... [indulge me] for any lapse (min al-zalal), for were it not for [...]. Presumably a letter of appeal for charity or other assistance.
