1. Your slave woman who is alone
2. desolate, and destitute 
3. the daughter of Rāfiʿ the silk worker (or: silk merchant)
4. In (your) name, O Mer(ciful) 
5. I am writing this petition with my blood and tears, seeking aid
6. from God // be pra(ised) // and your excellency my master, the most illustrious head,
7. the great Nagid, the noble lord, may
8. God perpetuate your leadership over Israel, make constant (Divine) favor
9. and your happiness, protect you and take care of you, and destroy
10. your enemies and those who envy you. I am
11. distressed, impoverished, alone, enduring va[riou]s
12. kinds of suffering and especially "nakedness." I have no outer garment to conceal me,
13. nor anything to cover my head. I sent you a
14. petition before this one about the same thing,
15. but you did not favor me with anything. You know, may God perpetuate your greatness,
16. that I and people like me have nothing but the mercy of God
17. the ex(alted) and your mercy. To whom shall I apply if not to you and to whom
18. shall I turn. I ask you
