الوصف

State receipt/order of payment issued by the "khazīnat anwāl al-ḥarīr", a branch of the state-run silk monopoly under Meḥmed ʿĀlī Pasha's administration. Date: 6 Rabīʿ II 1238 AH (1822 CE). Location: Alexandria. Begins with "ʿAmmā yuḍāfu bi-ḥisāb warath(waraqat?)"... and then "al-qāḍī". The two state officials subsequebtky mentioned are the ṣarrāf, Mūsa Naʿīm al-yahūdī, and the overseer (nāẓir), ʿUmr Agha. YU/MCD
