الوصف

Fragment of a letter in Judaeo-Arabic. Mentioning two dinars which the addressee had given the sender; he is to take them back and instruct Abū l-Munajjā to give him another 5 dinars against a promissory note or contract of debt (ḥujja wa-sheṭar) in the name of 'the fortunate brother' Abū Naṣr. If the addressee requires a guarantor for this loan, the sender has plenty of people who will help. The handwriting is probably that of Berakhot b. Shemuel; cf. T-S 13J9.11 (published by Friedman), and T-S AS 150.126 (same dimensions and format as this fragment, possibly a join).
