الوصف

Likely an official report. Mentions al-Amīr ʿAfīf al-Dawla Mutawallī al-Bāb (=Ṣāḥib al-Bāb = al-Wazīr al-Ṣaghīr = 'head chamberlain'). The document is written in a very sloppy chancery hand and expresses longing of the writer to the addressee and a rendezvous with the aforementioned chamberlain. The part where the document is cut-off towards the bottom might contain a raʿyy clause. Needs further examination. On verso there are accounts in Arabic script, also official-looking.
