الوصف
Letter, in Arabic script. Written in a petition-like fashion. Letter from Khidr to a dignitary, probably, titled Shams al-Riʾāsa. The sender, identified in the tarjama as al-mamlūk Khiḍr, reports that since leaving Cairo he has been diligently engaged in the service of Mawlānā. He mentions making a purchase for his master in accordance with instructions and refers to obtaining a letter from the qāḍī, although the surrounding details are unclear. He appeals to Mawlānā’s customary benevolence toward him and closes with a prayer and ḥasbala. Dating: Likely Mamluk-era.

- شمس الرياسة ادام الله سعادته وينهي المملوك الي علـ[
- الكريم ان المملوك من وقت ان خرج من القاهرة وهو يجتهد
- في خدمة مولانا واشترى لسيدي ما جبه(؟) كما وصى مولانا
- سيدي باخذ كتاب القاضي [ ] يالوصية على الملوك
- بان الامر من في فطنة(؟) ولا غيرها عوايد احسان مولانا
- على المملوك فالله ...يحسن لمولانا دنيا ولغيـ[
- ]ينهي المملوك ذلك وحسبنا اله ونعم الوكيل
