Communal letter addressed to the community of Fustat, in Hebrew. Dating: probably 11th century. Requesting that they come to the senders' aid by calling a fast and public prayers on behalf of people who were imprisoned: ואתם בית ישראל אשר בשפריר מצרים חורי יהודה ואפרים . . . . על צרת אחיכם החמוסים אשר על דברי שחד(?) תפושים ענושים מנסים . . . לקראות צום להאסף להקבץ לבקשת התחנונים . . .
