Verso: fragment of a letter addressed to Moshe ha-Levi, head of Yeshivat Geʾon Yaʿaqov. He was appointed as Gaʾon already around 1140, when Yehuda ha-Levi arrived in Egypt., and was titled Nagid for a short period after the death of Shemuel b. Ḥananya. Moshe was the father of Sar Shalom ha-Levi. (See M. A. Friedman in Zion, 70, p. 482). On recto there is a literary text in Judaeo-Arabic, some sort of philosophical commentary. AA
