الوصف

Legal fragment in the hand of Halfon b. Menashshe ha-Levi. Dated: 1443 Seleucid, which is 1131/32 CE. The fragment is from the bottom part of the deed mostly contains references to the words inserted between the lines of the deed. Names mentioned: Yefet; Ṣedaqa b. David ha-Kohen. On the top a reference is made to נגיד הגולה = the Nagid of the diaspora. The document dates to the tenure of Maṣliaḥ Gaon ruling, but he was never titled Nagid, so maybe the reference here is to the Nasi Daniel. AA
