Legal document drawn up in Fustat, dated last third of Adar 14[.]4 Seleucid, under the reshut of Sar Shalom ha-Levi. Any of the years 1173, 1183, or 1193 CE would be consistent with the dates of Sar Shalom, but only the first would be consistent with the dates of the scribe (Mevorakh b. Natan, active ca. 1150–81). Abū l-Maʿālī al-Ḥarīrī leases to Avraham b. Yosef the small compound (duwayra) belonging to him in Fustat, in Sūq al-Kabir, for a period of one year. The rent is 10 dirhams every month, for a total expected payment of 120 dirhams.
