Legal document in the hand of Halfon b. Menashshe ha-Levi (1100–38 CE). Apparently a partnership agreement in a business involving a "large furnace" (al-kur al-kabīr) and a "small furnace" ([al-kūr] al-ṣaghīr) and many laborers. For the workers at the large furnace, mentions a weekly total of [.]40 raṭls (referring to the quantity of goods produced?) and a wage of 12 dirhams. For the workers at the small furnace, it seems the wage if 9 dirhams. There is also mention of an advance of 5 dinars. A name may be preserved in the last line (Abū ʿIm[rān?]). Join: Alan Elbaum.
