Letter in Arabic script, in a chancery-esque hand. The sender swears by God calling him "the light" (wa-ḥaqq al-Nūr). Ends with a ḥasbala. There may be dates in l. 2 and/or l. 4 (538 or 548 AH?). Needs examination. On verso there is a mishnaic text in Hebrew (beginning שבעה אבהות וגו' יש נוחלין ומנחלין נוחלין ולא מנחלין).
