Recto

2. [   ] well-protected al-Qāhira, in Ḥārat Zuwayla, in the lane with no outlet  known as the ‘blazed trail’...the Head of the Jews, known as [   ]

3. [   ] endowed as waqf to the Christians. The description of it is that it includes two gates, one of them rectangular; one leaf of it closes over the other. Through it one enters a courtyard containing [   ]

4. [   ] stairs. One ascends on them [lit., ‘it’] to two loggias, then to the roof [of the courtyard]. The second gate is accessed by the stairs on the lane. Over it is a door-leaf [as above], and through it one enters

5. [   ] a narrow apartment containing facilities and appurtenances. Then one ascends by the remaining aforementioned stairs to an apartment containing gates and a covered courtyard roofed with a vault with windows overlooking the lane.

6. [   ] in the first part [of the stairs?], one ascends to [the courtyard’s] roof, then ascends by the remainder of the aforementioned stairs to an apartment containing gates and a [roofed] [?] covered courtyard with [facilities] and appurtenances, with a plain vault [i.e., without windows]

7. [   ] It is surrounded and enclosed by four boundaries. [The southern boundary] [   ] and the stairs and the bay window

8. [   ] windows, and the northern boundary extends to the private property known as Ibn Lafīna [?] and to the private property known as Qāḍī Shams [al-Dīn] [   ] [and the eastern boundary] [   ] the street, and in it

9. the windows of the upper apartment, and some of it to the private property of the qāḍī, Qāḍī Shams al-Dīn, and the western boundary extends to the private property [known as] [ ], a valid, legal transfer of ownership,

10. including consent and acceptance, a legal receipt and handing over, after the two of them acknowledged it by sight and familiarity with it. [The woman transferring ownership mentioned] above acknowledged that she has no remaining right

11. in the aforementioned share, which is one-quarter, six shares of 24 shares of the entire house described and delimited above, and no claim [  ] and nothing, [not a little] and not much,

12. and that the transferred portion mentioned above has become the private property of her son, the above-mentioned Sharaf al-Dīn Mūsā, rather than her [property] or [the property of] anyone connected to her, by reason of the property transfer outlined above, and that he may dispose of it as

13. owners do with their properties and possessors of appurtenances do with their appurtenances, with no partner in it and no opponent. This was in the presence of her aforementioned son, and he corroborated her in all of this. There was recorded in the document

14. of the aforementioned waqf that which attests to the turning over of this share transferred in it [i.e., in the document] to the private property of the aforementioned Sharaf al-Dīn Mūsā on this date, and it was witnessed on the date blessed Sunday, the second of God’s month Muḥarram in the year

15. 777 [10 June 1375]. They mentioned, with regard to the first narrow apartment and the second apartment above it, that the two were renovated and turned into a single apartment, with facilities and appurtenances, and with windows overlooking the lane. God the exalted [?] is sufficient for me.
