Letter from Maḥāsin b. Abū ʿAlī, probably in Alexandria, to his mother Sitt Ghazāl bt. Abū ʿUmar, in Fustat. (The letter is to be delivered to the Shāmī synagogue and then given to her.) Same sender and addressee as T-S 10J19.26 (PGPID 2938). Possibly the same people as in T-S 10J12.16 (PGPID 2811). There is a long, somewhat unusual preface with musings about separation and longing and God's will. In the margin, he refers to his state of fear and insomnia. The lower part of the letter is missing. (Information in part from CUDL.) ASE
