الوصف

Letter of recommendation for charity, addressed to Mishaʾel ha-Sar. Written on behalf of Hiba Ibn Zaʿfarān (the word before "saffron" isn't entirely clear, it could also be that he used have a trade related to saffron), a newly indigent inhabitant of Fusṭāṭ. Hiba needs assistance paying the capitation tax, and has already been arrested and beaten for not paying it. Mentions six elders and the cantor Faḍāʾil. (Information in part from CUDL)
