Recto

1. Let it be registered in the office of accounts,
2. if God wills.
3. They have registered the amount of three, a third, a sixth and an eighth.
4. Praise be to God for his bounties.
5. In the name of God, the merciful and compassionate.
6. A valid receipt has been granted to ʾAbū al-Ḥasan ibn Wahb for the sum owed through his standing surety for the estates in the town of al-Fayyūm for the year four-hundred and three, 
7. under the supervision of the auspicious, rightly-guided judge, Ṯiqat al-Mulk Makīn al-Dawla wa-ʾAmīnuhā,
8. the protégé of the commander of the faithful, ʾAbū al-Ḥasan ʿAlī ibn Bahār, with ʾAbū al-Sarī 
9. Theodor ibn Yuḥannis acting as accountant. 
10. Half of this: One, a half, a quarter and two qīrāṭs (= a twelfth). Its amount: Three, a third, a sixth and an eighth. 
11. Written by Mikāʾīl ibn ʿAbd al-Masiḥ, the cashier. Valid. The fifth of the month of Ramaḍān 
12. in the year four-hundred and three.
