الوصف
Mercantile letter, probably by a Maghribī trader of the 11th century, probably sent from Alexandria to Fustat. In Judaeo-Arabic. Mawhūb b. ʿAmmār was present with the sender. Mentions a sum of money, the name Ḥasan al-ʿAṭṭār, and that Mawhūb came to Alexandria and didn't know anything about this. Regards to Abū Yaʿqūb al-Ḥakīm. The sender complains that from the day he traveled, he has found no health, and that he is still housebound (with illness) (lāzim fī l-bayt). If Abū ʿImrān has returned from Upper Egypt (al-Ṣaʿīd), the addressee is asked to greet him.
