Letter in Hebrew from Safed to Cairo (מצרים) in Hebrew. Addressed to Yeshūʿa[?] al-Mātī[?] from Eliyahu Medina[?], both names are not entirely clear. The letter sender mentions a certain Yeshūʿa Ben-Moreno in the opening lines and then R. Shelomo in ll. 11 in connection with a sum of Ottoman sultani in l. 12. In the lower left corner there is final note mentioning a certain Mordekhay ʿUraybī. Based on the paleography and the currency mentioned this letter is likely 16th-17th-century. MCD.
