Letter in Judaeo-Arabic. Possibly concerning the execution of a will. Mentions "the people of Egypt and the people of [...], among them [...]," followed by a list of numerous names, including Ismāʿīl b. Ṣadaqa al-Gharbī(?), Abū l-ʿAlāʾ al-Baghdādī, Ṣadaqa b. Mawhūb, and Marzūq al-Ramlī. Refers to debts owed or not owed ("I am not owed even a penny by any of them"); a sum of 6 1/2 dinars; how the sender paid 2 1/6 dinars in the presence of the elders, leaving 4 1/3 dinars; how Ḥassūn b. Sulaymān demanded this deposit of 4 1/3 dinars; how the sender investigated and found out that he had a brother in al-Ramla and a rightful heir or heirs; and how the addressee (mawlāy al-ḥazzan al-jalīl) might arrange to have the money delivered.
