Fragment of a legal document (or documents). Dated: 1546 Seleucid = 1234/35 CE. The document on recto is granting someone permission to live in a certain place. Refers to the synagogue; charity; harm to the community; one of his relatives; a fine of 20 dinars if he builds in it; the amount of the rent; and how "we have agreed that he can live there with the permission [...]." Verso: Related document, in a different hand. Dated: 1 Nisan 1546 Seleucid = 22 March 1235 CE. Stating that אלשיך אלרציו (spelling error for either al-Raṣuy or al-Raḍiyy) will live in the house which he renovated." Written and signed by Shemuel b. Ḥalfon. Also signed by [...] ha-Melammed. Underneath there are a few lines of accounts in Arabic script and Greek/Coptic numerals.
