الوصف
Two fiscal documents, in Arabic script. Dating: ca. 12th C. Recto is headed "al-muqīmīn" and mentions "al-mustakhraj" in the third line, probably related to tax payments, and refers to people such as awlād al-Fakhr(?). There is also some text in the left margin, which reads as "al-tawqīʿ". The document begins with: المقيمين بما في ضمانها والباقي على المزارعين للضيعة(؟) بحكم. Also mentions the produce/harvest "الغلة المستخرج". Verso is a ḍarība, literally a synonym for tax, but has myriad connotations. The next line begins with "zakāt al-ladhī"and refers to an iqṭāʿ. Possibly dated to the period of al-Ḥāfiẓ because of the mention of "al-ghallāt/ghulām al-Ḥāfiẓī". Needs further examination.
