الوصف

Legal document in Arabic script. Fragment (upper left corner). Dating: Likely Mamluk-era, based on typical names and titles. Needs further examination. Pinholes, but in conservation tape affixed to the fragment. According to the paper conservator at JTS (2/1/2023), that kind of tape is mid-to-late 20th century; it seems these pieces were conserved around 1965. Is it possible that before then, they were physically bound into volumes with thread? MR
