Description / Bio

Manumitted woman who is mentioned in a legal document from 1100 CE detailing the maintenance payments that her ex-husband, Ṣadaqa b. ʿEli, will begin paying her in Tishrei 1412 Seleucid = September/October 1100 CE. (Information from PGP and Craig Perry, Slavery and the Jews of Medieval Egypt, Appendix 2, no. 14)
