Unnamed Enslaved Person 16

Description / Bio

Christian enslaved woman mentioned in a legal query to Avraham Maimonides. According to Craig Perry, it is unclear if this is a hypothetical reference or if she was a specific individual. The reference to Avraham Maimonides as "Nagid" makes it possible to estimate the date range of the legal query as 1213–1237, the period when he bore the title during his tenure as Rayyis al-Yahūd between 1205–1237 CE.
