Unnamed Enslaved Person 10 (Nūbiyya)

Description / Bio

Nubian enslaved woman mentioned in a bill of sale in which she was sold by Hiba to the buyer Moshe Mevasser. Unnamed Enslaved Person 10 is possibly identical to Abnūsa, who was sold by Hiba/Netanʾel b. Yosef to Moshe b. Ṭahor on 31 October 1230 CE. This association is based on the possibility that the geniza fragments in question are draft documents for the same transaction (perhaps with different buyers Mevasser and Moshe).
