Description / Bio

Enslaved woman mentioned in a bill of sale in which she was sold by Elʿazar b. Yefet to Shelomo b. Ṣedaqa in late August–early September 1241 CE. Ṭāʾūs was sold together with her son, Mubārak, in the same transaction. (Information from PGP and Craig Perry, Slavery and the Jews of Medieval Egypt, Appendix 1, no. 107)
