Description / Bio

Enslaved woman mentioned in a letter from Moshe b. Levi ha-Levi, in Qalyūb, to a family member in Fusṭāt. Saʿāda is referenced in connection with the delivery of a payment. Her enslaver is named as Ṭāḥir b. al-Ghuzzī. (Information from PGP and Craig Perry, Slavery and the Jews of Medieval Egypt, Appendix 1, no. 80)
