A title/office mentioned in the documents from Ibrīm; alternatively, he may have been a merchant. The Master of the Shipmasts was responsible for "liaising between the Muslim community in Aswan and the eparch and conveying goods, letters and money from the Muslims to the eparch" (Khan (2024), 227). Note that the related documents below may not all pertain to the same individual.
