Head of the Jews ca. 1082–94, between the two terms of Mevorakh b. Saʿadya. Son of Daniʾel b. ʿAzarya. Vilified in Megillat Evyatar, composed by Evyatar b. Eliyyahu ha-Kohen shortly after David's downfall in 1094 CE.
