Description

Appeal for charity by the scholar Mawhūb b. Ḥalfōn ha-Ḥaver Ibn al-Bunduqī (“the son of the Venetian”). The addressee's name is too damaged to read (Pinḥas?). The sender says he is from a distant land (al-balad al-baʿīd al-shāsiʿ). The letter itself is almost entirely conventional/formulaic. (Information mainly from Goitein’s index card.)
