Description

Ketubba. Bride: Malīka bt. Mukhtār. Groom: Ṣedaqa b. Yeshuʿa. Location: Fustat. Dated: Wednesday, 13 Av 1365 Seleucid = 20 July 1054 CE. Early marriage payment: 1 dinar. Malīka was formerly married to a man named Yiṣḥaq and the ketubba mentions her son Mufarrij b. Yiṣḥaq, whom Ṣedaqa will now treat as his own child. Witnessed by Aharon ha-Mumḥe b. Efrayim, Hassan b. Av{ra}ham, Yiṣḥaq b. Avraham, Sahl b. Mevasser, Sh[...]on b. Yiṣḥaq, Ghālib b. Aharon, [...] b. Shemuel. (Information from CUDL and Goitein's index card.)
