Description

Verso: Accounts in Arabic script. Probably fiscal, concerning amounts of produce (e.g., بان عنده ستين اربد غلة four lines from the bottom). Dating: likely Fatimid, 11th or 12th century. There are distinct sections headed by individuals' names: [...] b. Mūsā al-[...]; Rāfiʿ b. al-[...]; ʿAbd al-Khāliq b. ʿAbdallāh. The next line in each case begins with the same trigger word (الصرة?) followed by another person's name. The first full entry mentions al-amīr al-ajall al-muʿaẓẓam; the next Saʿīd min ṣibyān al-[...] al-ajall al-muʿaẓẓam; and the next "ghilmān Sharaf al-Umarāʾ [...]. Needs further examination. Reused on recto for qinnot in vocalized Hebrew.
