Description

Fatimid decree. Four lines preserved. Dated: 549 AH = 1154/55 CE. Four lines preserved. Seems to be regarding the administration of the dhimmīs who live (al-mustamirrīn al-qiyām) in a certain district (nāḥiya). Reused on the same side for an eclectic and scattered Judaeo-Arabic biblical commentary and on the other side for piyyuṭim in a beautiful hand. One is the well-known seliḥa שופט כל הארץ, here attributed to Shelomo Ibn Gabirol (Shelomo ha-Qaṭan) in a different hand than the main scribe.
