Description

Upper part of a letter in Arabic script to الحضرة السامية الاجلية العلية(؟) الشيخية النفيسة(؟). Dating: likely 13th century. Only formulaic content is preserved. In the upper margin there are various jottings but also "al-shaykh al-ajall al-raʾīs." Reused on recto for a Hebrew poem or prayer in which the speaker says "I consider myself like a small worm in the earth."
