Description

Fiscal document in Arabic script. The upper text block refers to a transfer from "the account of the (governmental) urban properties to the account of the capitation taxes (min māl al-ribāʿ ilā māl al-jawālī) for Rajab 574 AH = December 1178 / January 1179 CE. The words in the middle are rubbed out but the word "month" (al-shahr) is evident and possibly a number. At bottom left there is a separate entry mentioning the same year, then Dhū l-Ḥijja of "the aforementioned year" (min al-sana al-madhkūra), then the figure of 6 dinars.
