Description

Draft of an official letter or correspondence, in Arabic script. The sender writes to the addressee "al-Amīr al-Raʾīs" that he will remain steadfast in his service and affinity even though he doesn't get a personal audience with him. The top of the document contains verses of Arabic poetry, pen trials, also in the same chancery hand.

  2. ]من خدمة سيدنا الامير الاجل الريس

  3. ادام الله تاييده وتمكينه وحراسته [و]نعمته المخلص في

  4. ولايه علي بعد الدار ومن الليل والنهار وان لم تحظني

  5. الايام بحضور مجلسه الجليل وتقبيل بابه

  6. المنيف ان شا الله تعالى
