Description

Letter to a dignitary. Opens with a long preamble in Hebrew singing the praises of Nissim b. Levi. The substance of the letter then continues in Judaeo-Arabic. The sender apologizes for his part in a public disagreement between the writer and the addressee that had previously taken place in ‘the small market’ concerning the correct display (or rather: width/dimensions) of tassels (ṣiṣit). Pen trials in the margin on verso. (Information in part from CUDL)
