Opens with expressions of longing and physical weakness (שלומך חמודי . . . . נפרדתי ממך ולבי עסוק ותלוי על אודותיך והיה בלבי . . . . והנה כחי . . . ונפשי קצרה ואין בי כח לעמד . . .). Goes on to mention Mevorakh; a letter to Abū Saʿd; coming to Cairo; al-Dustarī(?) al-Sharābī; a shop; someone sitting or staying somewhere after returning from the palace of al-Zarqa (? ארמון אלזרקא); someone who was sick and did not go up to Cairo since Monday; a judge (titled Peʾer?); and a request to go to Abū l-Maʿālī.
