Description

Accounts in Judaeo-Arabic. Dated in the heading (recto) 11 Av 5502 AM which is 1742 CE. This reading the heading's year as התקב (instead of התקכ) is confirmed by the appear of other AM years on the recto and verso where the letter-bet is clearer and, most importantly, in one of the accounts from the recto where the date is Tishrei 5503 AM (התקג). These accounts are related to quantities of Ottoman gold coinage in fındıklı and maḥbūb. The recto's heading mentions the name Mordekhay Mūnīr in connection with the accounts (likely as the individual who handled these funds). MCD.
