Letter T-S 12.276Description
Letter addressed to the Nasi Yoshiyyahu. Dating: ca. 1230s CE. In Judaeo-Arabic with some interspersed Arabic script. Mentions the addressee going before the ruler (אלמולא ענד דכול سلطان خلد الله ملكه وجعل . . . .); Abū Saʿd; the sender's distress from his debts (this is the main subject of the letter); and someone who "claims the headship" (ידעי אלריאסה). In the last lines, the writer urgently asks to know with whom the commentary on the Prophets had been pawned, because the son of al-Rayyis Sulaymān seems to be requesting it.
