Description

Business letter (c. 1100 CE) from Abū al-Ḥasan b. Khūlayf Iskandarānī to the prominent purple-cloth merchant Abū l-Afrāḥ ʿArūs b. Yosef al-Mahdawī in Fusṭāṭ. Asks for news of the Kārim fleet. Excuses his absence by citing his illness. Greets people such as Abū l-Ḥasan ʿAllān and Abū l-l-ʿAlāʾ al-Ḥalabī the in-law of Ṣāʿid al-Parnas.
