Description

Letter in a very faint script. Probably from the teacher Yehuda Ibn al-ʿAmmānī, in Alexandria, to the cantor Abū l-Majd Meʾir b. Yakhin, in Fustat. Dating: early 13th century. (The addressee's name Abū l-M[ajd](?) is partially visible in the body of the letter, and in the address he is called "[...] החזנים ועוזם" and "al-yahūdī al-Iskandarānī.") Mentions a certain Ibrāhīm. Little of the content will be legible without multispectral imaging. (Information in part from CUDL)
