Description

Verso: Note in bad handwriting headed עת לעשות וגו׳. In the right margin the name Abū Saʿd appears; this might be the sender, or it might be a redundant copying of the first name of the list. The remainder of the document consists of a list of the names of those who desecrated the Sabbath (we learn this from the addendum/answer on recto). The names include Abū Saʿd Ibn al-Khādim, Abū Naṣr, Abū l-Ḥasan b. Abū [...]; Wafāʾ; Yaʿqūb b. Karīm al-[...]; Makārim the boy of [...]. The last two lines may state that Ibn al-Ziftāwī led them to do this deed (though the first verb isn't clear - אבדאהם?). Recto, top: A note in different handwriting, also headed עת לעשות וגו׳. "These are the people who desecrated the Shabbat and did so publicly (? ועאמו פיה), and there are witnesses that they did so. Sayyidnā (yarum hodo) (=Avraham Maimonides?) has ordered the witnesses to present themselves in his moshav."
