Description

Bible fragment, with verses from Leviticus legible on the recto and verso regarding dietary standards, for example (Leviticus 11:10): וכל אשר אין לו סנפיר וקשקשת בימים ובנחלים מכל שרץ המים ומכל נפש החיה אשר במים שקץ הם לכם. The page fragment was encapsulated with pieces of knotted string, possibly remnants of a book binding. There are two other pages from the same codex in neighboring shelfmarks. MCD.
