Description

Fragment of a letter in Judaeo-Arabic, with a poetic Hebrew introduction, addressed to a certain Ḥaver. The address is located (unusually) at the bottom. The story is difficult to reconstruct as the left half is missing. It seems that after the sender left the addressee, the police (al-rājil) apprehended him. (Also mentions the cold, but the context isn't clear.) He ran away, and someone said to them "this is the friend . . . this is the friend of so-and-so. Go and get him!" Then mentions something the sender's brother said; someone suing or fighting us; and something Shelomo said.
