Description

Marriage contract. Groom: Munā b. Shelomo. Bride: Mubāraka bt. Avraham. Location: Fustat. Dated: 13 Tishrei 1406 Seleucid = 26 September 1094 CE. The couple is getting remarried after an earlier divorce. Although a divorcee, the bride is still a virgin. The value of the trousseau is 2 dinars and the marriage gift is 5 + 15 dinars. The witnesses include the ḥaver Yeḥezqel b. ʿEli ha-Kohen he-Ḥaver. Verso is not digitized but is reportedly blank. This is the ketubba edited by Adalbert Merx in his 'Documents de paléographie hébraïque et arabe', 1894, pp. 36–37.
