Description

Recto: Letter in Arabic script. This is a long, dense, and well-preserved family/mercantile letter. Mentions grains and produce in large quantities: 400 irdab wheat, and 600 irdab harvest. Also mentions large sums of money, a tax, probably capitation, and a record of something on a paper (kāghaẓa). Needs examination. (Information in part from Goitein's note card)
