Description

Epistolary writing exercises in Judaeo-Arabic. The dating is probably 18th- or 19th-century based on the paleography, The student Ya[ʿīsh(?)] Marzūq, whose name appears in the heading, has repeated the same opening formula throughout the recto and verso. The opening line of the verso is in a different scribal hand, presumably that of the unnamed writing instructor who provided Marzūq the phrase in model handwriting. MCD.
