Description

Title and introductory page (recto) for the ophthalmological work Tadhkirat al-Kaḥḥālīn by ʿAlī ibn ʿIsa al-Kaḥḥāl (d. 1038 or 1039 CE). The manuscript was copied on an extremely large piece of paper and thus may have been a scribal draft. The Arabic text on the verso could also be from the Tadhkirat al-Kaḥḥālīn but is in a different scribal hand. The paper was also reused on the recto for piyyuṭ. ASE/MCD.
